Well, the way they get you a lot of times is they say something like... "$9/month to have a web-site." And, then when they sit down with you, they charge you $5,000 for the creation of the web-site and $200/month for the maintenance of the web-site.

But, rather than ask you for $5,000 up front, they say they will create the web-site and maintain it for some monthly amount. If I was selling that, I would say that I would waive the $9/month, cut the $200/month maintenance to $100/month for the term of the contract. And, best of all, Mr. Business-owner, I will not ask for a penny up front. I will even design the web-site and only charge you $169.00 month for that service.

The contract would be for 48 months. The customer would pay $269/month. That is $12,912 in 4 years. The upfront cost to me would be a few hundred dollars at most because I would likely be using templates for the bulk of the design. The actual labor cost on a monthly basis for maintenance would be less than $50. They would make a killing and companies like GFCI, that have no money or are putting on a scam, are perfect targets for it. IF they pay anything over 3 months, it's all gravy.
