cowtown jay, that is kind of an ethical choice to make. In essence you go for the highest lives saving options.

But then their is economics, and those two do not always marry well.

As for Avid, something tells me (intuition) that we may one day and up in the hands of HALO. I have no idea what this would mean for other customers such as HGEN. HALO has a strategic interest in this. They assigned full 'bulk production' for their ENHANZE platform (their only lead product since their reorganization) to Avid (ref. HALO annual Reports). They leave Catalent only with clinical trial related production. And they are extremely successful (although yesterdays stock play would not suggest that :).

I also suspect their CEO (Helen) and CDMO's ex-CEO (Steven) to be more then just business partners :) which possibly yielded business Avids way (speculation).

Then their is the current management and I am not sure where they stand when it comes to an M&A with for instance HGEN. They for sure start to know their value and I think it is not going to be a cheap thing. Then again, not sure that some players like Catalent or Lonza, etc would let that happen.

All In My Opinion. I am not advising anything, nor accusing anyone.
