FIRST NARROWS INTERSECTS 3.43% COPPER OVER 25 METERS AT CHESTER; INCLUDES 5.56% CU OVER 4 METERS; ZONE REMAINS OPEN TO THE NORTH, EAST AND WEST

First Narrows Resources Corp. is providing initial assay results from the 2006 phase of the resource definition drill program completed on the 100-per-cent-owned portion of the Chester copper feeder deposit.

Holes C-06-022 and C-06-023 have intersected significant high-grade copper (chalcopyrite) mineralization (to see photos of core samples, visit the company's website).

The copper zone, which is immediately accessible from the historical decline, is open to the north, west and east. The thick areas of high-grade mineralization are possibly controlled by a lithological and structural feature not previously recognized by the wider-spaced historical drill hole patterns.

Analytical results of secondary metal credits are incomplete and will be reported on at a later date.

Earnest Brooks, PGeo, is the company's qualified person on the Chester project. Mr. Brooks has 37 years experience in mine geology and exploration in the Chibougamau and Bathurst mining camps, including 15 years at the BMS mines, Bathurst, N.B.

The Chester property is located in the southern part of the Bathurst mining camp, approximately 53 kilometres west of the city of Miramichi and 72 kilometres southwest of the city of Bathurst, N.B.
