The system as we know it is not fair. It is controlled to benefit those who are in power, not ensuring that retail traders get a fair shake. In fact, set up to ensure they do not.
Not sure it is even possible in doing what I suggest. Computer MM. We know the MMs today use computer to do what they do ..maintain control over pocketing gobs of cash. Makes life easier and they do not have to employ so many of those unsuitable humans.
Yet, because they create the programming (suited to their desire, not the retail investor) and allow for human interaction, they retain control (for their purpose in making money).
Now, if we could imagine that massive computer MM directly connected with your broker and all more such, each issuing buys and sells as per their client's wishes and directing the fulfillment of each resulting financial transaction...
Not going to happen, but possible? Sure. Seeming a true scenario and confirmation of true supply and demand constraints. We also know, if there is a will there is a way for those in power to do so to manipulate even that...so, might as well stick with the system we have...with a few tweaks here and there.
