Not true. The FDA shuts down trials when they have safety issues. If a drug is deemed safe, the FDA won't shut down a trial with 0% efficacy. Hundreds of different drugs are being trialed for Covid in the US and most haven't shown efficacy so far.

Big Pharma will often shut down their own trials because of a lack of efficacy because they don't want to waste more resources. CytoDyn will waste more resources on Covid trials because most of their market cap stems from leronlimab's Covid indication.
