At one or two a week these are obviously being hand assembled. As I pointed out last week, hand assembled units are not considered representative of the final product and therefore will not be acceptable to be used for NHTSA crash testing or safety rating. We are approaching June without an actual representative product being supplied for crash testing. There is no way we are going into production by Oct.1
In fact this brings up the other milestone which is the switch from betas to pre-production units which was slated for June. With hand built betas still rolling out the door in May - there is absolutely no way we are going into pre-production in June. We are looking at a minimum 1 year schedule slip, which is going to see the E-F150 and a host of other directly competing products on market first. The “pre-orders” are non-binding as we are all acutely aware, meaning those 100k preordered trucks are going to vanish like smoke on the wind.

Say goodbye to Lordstown Motors before it even gets off the ground. I predict Steve Burns will attempt to flee the country in the dark of night with jewels and cash sewn into the linings of his clothing, soon.
