Dr Taguchi's motion for February 28, 2022 at 1:30 PM.

Counsel for Ms. Taguchi and the government hereby jointly request that the March 8, 2021 status hearing date be vacated.

2.The parties hereby agree that good cause exists to set sentencing in this case for February 28, 2022 at 1:30 PM. On January 4, 2021, Ms. Taguchi entered a guilty plea to violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1349 (Count 1 of an Information). As indicated in Ms. Taguchi’s plea agreement, she conspired with Defendant Mark Schena in a scheme to commit health care fraud. Defendant Mark Schena was indicted with three (3) counts of conspiracy to commit health care fraud, securities fraud, and criminal forfeiture. Defendant Mark Schena’s trial is scheduled to begin November 30, 2021. Ms. Taguchi is expected to serve as a witness in this trial.

3.Due to the fact that Ms. Taguchi’s case is intertwined with Mark Schena’s case and his trial, the parties are respectfully requesting that Ms. Taguchi’s sentencing be postponed until after Mark Schena’s trial takes place in November and December of 2021.

4.Accordingly, the parties respectfully request that the sentencing hearing be set for February 28, 2022 at 1:30 PM.

5.The parties also respectfully request that the deadline for the referral to probation be set for on or around November 2021.
