Case-in-point: The current topic of Ella Ann Holding's 300k share block of FCNCA (2016) swallowed up by an abyss......
This is eerily similar (though no one is mentioning it) to the Carmen Holding Ames $135 million block 'locked' into an IRREVOCABLE TRUST a year prior to it becoming completed and utterly gutted on the eve of the UWBKQ v. FDIC trial opinion....
Hard to imagine that these two events are not related....
And look at the dollars. 300K shares of FCNCA sold in June 2016 would have been in the $250/share range, or about $75,000,000. Added to the $135,000,000 we are talking $210mm which easily accommodates the theorized $179mm NOLs payment to the FDIC.
Notice that neither of the Holding Trust sales could handle the full NOL amount, But combined....
they could.
