Theres no RULES requiring longer domain name registrations.

OH and btw, i keep my registrations at 1 year because GoDaddy (who i used originally) turned around and supported the Internet Censorship act, i only register my domains for 1 year because if my registrar ever supported that (1and1) i would move the domain...
