Could it be there buying/selling stocks that don’t exist ? Isn’t this the same thing banks did in the 1920’s-1930’s? Didn’t they buy stocks w/ depositors money and when the markets crashed they couldn’t not only make depositors whole they were completely broke. Same thing here except they say you have “x” number of shares but you don’t. They are getting you to buy high and manipulating the ticker down so they pay you back less than what you paid. It’s kind of like getting a roll of quarters from the bank, then taking one quarter out and depositing that shorted roll of quarters back for full value. Imagine doing that w/ a billion rolls of quarters. Only way to circumvent this is buy counting the shares and people holding on to their quarters. Naked shorting shares is a Ponzi scheme and just like Madoff they’ll come tumbling-down. Don’t think this is happening to only AMC or GME, it’s happening all across the boards and it’ll keep happening until it becomes unprofitable
