Misiu and Rock...is it okay to intervene with Maraviroc at the early stages as Leronlimab is not available. The reason I ask is, two of my extended family members passed away in the last week in India. I tried to get leronlimab but the cytokine storm was so quick, all happened within 3 days of admitting to ICU which is around 10 days from initial infection. The team at Cytodyn Dr Kelly, Dr Pourhassan and Dr Recknor were all very responsive but we never had a chance of getting Leronlimab within time clearing all the regulatory hurdles. Both the patients were healthy mid aged Men 45 and 52 years with no comorbidities. Now there are multiple family friends in the moderate stage of the disease with oxygen saturation 94 and elevated levels of il6. So I am debating whether early use of Maraviroc will be helpful or not.
