I've made a few thousand trading in an out. I've never shorted a stock in my life. People making money are making good price point decisions.

Buy at your price and set a reasonable sell price off a recent high or 3/4's up the last major movement upward. Take some profit as cash in your account and take some profit as free shares to sell on next run up.
