This trial progression says more about the state of medicine and the roadblocks put up for new drugs than it does regarding the worthiness of Brilacidin IMO.

If you have a pandemic, unheard of infections and deaths in India and Brazil and widespread cases worldwide, a drug that has been investigated for over a year at government RBLs with remarkably outstanding results, and yet you still can't fill a trial quickly one has to look at the process and see something is messed up (being politically correct) to a major degree.

I know medicine is like religion, you can't say anything against it, but the current process is arcane and outdated at the best in the world of super computers and AI seeming to be able to take the vast, vast majority of safety questions out of new drugs compared to the old methods where all they had were test animals and a handful of doctors working on the drug. IMO if medicine were transportation, buggy whips would still be in style.

Just a layman's perspective.
