Was just thinking about this....

Obviously there have been many posts over the past six months about how involved Rotor Riot and FatShark are in the drone racing leagues. Considering that, something just dawned on me with that recently awarded patent for RCAT via Skypersonic. Ultimately, that patent and technology would be a HUGE benefit to indoor racing venues from very remote locations. IE, you could have people from all over the world competing, flying PHYSICAL drones in an indoor arena space, without physically being there. Never thought about that aspect before but does make some sense! And because it is a PHYSICAL drone, people may get seriously interested in this as a hobby and sport and paying for that fly time and competitions. Makes you wonder now, maybe the Drone Racing League may be a merger target? Considering how hobby flying is just about to be VERY restricted in the near future in the US, makes some sense there could be an explosion of demand for these types of alternatives. Kinda like an RC park where you are forced to fly there not just because it is cool to do races and courses. And, they could even have races with the drones being shipped to a location then inspected via zoom or something and have mechanics on hand if something needs replaced or is broken. Anyway, just thought I would throw that out there before I forgot about it! In a world of Covid and a future of drones making money off races could end up being a real thing! Kinda like NASCAR! I think that is ultimately what the DRL is shooting for...based on what I have seen in researching them....
