There was no sell off! Seen it before many times. Someone bigger who is trying to accumulate(OMNI, someone else?) sells their own shares to themselves making it look like a dump by placing a bid within the gap slightly above the real bid then hitting it with a chunk of shares within less then a second at the same time with selling shares to drop the price to the lowest part of the gap. If you look at the trading volume and sales, a very large percentage of the volume today was large sales that fit this bill. It is a game to try to make retail think there is a large dump and sell their REAL shares into it. Also benefits the stock by recording fake volume with only one entity really buying and selling most of it. When the naked numbers come out today I am guessing it will be significant because of this. It is all a high level game to take peoples shares knowing more then likely a stock is going to rise and has VERY little for sale. Did you miss at the end of the day there was 20k on the bid in the 280s? THERE IS A REASON FOR THAT! They were fishing for shares that the move described above shock loose....this happens on tons of stocks and have discussed this on many boards over the past few years as AI has been introduced that can do trades at lightening speeds. Need to be able to see it for what it is when you have stock in this situation IMHO. Of course, make your own decisions and do your own DD. GLTY.
