As I said, I have it just sitting there in case someone puts in a market order and the bid is thin. Spikes up and down due to others' mistakes have made me a lot of money in the past. I have sell orders on most of my penny stocks in case someone fat fingers a buy. Occasionally someone enters a limit order and misses a decimal point. Why not benefit from it. The only way to do that is to have the open order just sitting there.
