yeh- read that, interesting. i don't think they should burn it, but I do think they should stop dropping big chunks of it monthly into the market. I would be ok with them releasing it as overall liquidity needs arise- for example, XRP becoming adopted as global bridge currency. Ripple making a statement to this effect - e.g. creating a stricter lockup on the escrow would have same positive net sentiment effect as burning it, but without destruction of asset.
