The agritech revolution is here , and here to stay. A large chunk of water consumption is attributed to farming. It is in mankinds best interest to find efficiencies to avoid waste.
The UN reports that over 70% of global fresh water consumption is currently linked to the industry, and estimates that 50% more food will be needed by 2050 in order to feed our growing population.
