Regarding being bought out....

The most likely candidate was Nuance Communications, now being bought out by Microsoft.... Nuance had previously bought out Dragon, Learnout Hauspie. and every other major player in the industry.. . but for whatever reason they passed on ANDR

Probably because of the deal made with Fortress as spelled out in the 10k
