“Big Pharma” Gilead, the owner of Remdesivir, the standard recommended US FDA approved therapeutics, was already combined in a test with Brilacidin that was successful.

Gilead is an acquisition style companies owning many smaller pharmaceutical companies. I think they bought Remdesivir.

I am certain they have their eye on innovations, buy, partner, who cares.

The way it looks to me is:
They are probably having very private talks with Leo and company. So don’t be surprised. There are too many coincidences here. Gilead has a very expensive board to please. They probably have to wait on phase 2 complete before it can go forward corporately.
