Not quite. There are 3 approved for use under EUA. When the emergency is declared over by the HHS they must have BLA approval before continuing to market.

Well guess what... PFE has announced they intend to file for a BLA soon. And one can bet MRNA will also do so, and later JNJ. There will be no problem obtaining BLA approval.

The net effect will be:

Approved under EUA. BLAs are approved in the next few months. The HHS declares the emergency is over.* The EUAs expire, and approved marketing continues under the previously approved BLAs.

*Of course your anti-VAXer crowd will ensure the EUAs stay in effect for many months. Giving BLA approvals plenty of time to occur.
