Supreme Court probably tipped off the govt

that they are about to lose and better get Plan B
into action before the decision is rendered.

Maybe Thompson's phone has been ringing a little more
than usual -- could some type of settlement still be in
the works? I don't think the share price is rising for no
reason, either, could also be shorts covering to get out for
good as that trade would be disasterous if plaintiffs win...
