It wasn't long ago Brad was quoted as saying RIM would achieve significant revenues from Embarq during "1H", which I assume is the 1st 1/2 of 2004. I know it's only word choice, but when Brad said we are looking to complete our prototype shortly it made my stomach tighten, as I wasn't sure until he spoke about SIL if he was being interviewed after the 2002 shareholder's meeting or if his comments are current.

It's nice to see Brad's smiling face, but I think we're due for some tangible developments as opposed to more positive rhetoric. I'm glad Brad is putting it on the line by remaining unwavering in his position that NVI has something of value in Embarq. But.... lets stop talking about funding, and lets close the deal. We have 60 days to complete the FPGA in order to not miss the yr end deadline for the FPGA two years in a row. I say that with my tongue firmly planted in my cheek - so don't blast me for saying it. I realize it won't take long to complete the FPGA once they get the money. I would however appreciate it if they would not wait until Dec 29th to get the money. Closing the deal before month's end would be an encouraging sign. November is a critical month in order to stay on their stated timeline. I'd hate to see RIM's credibility suffer even more than it has because of lack of fundamental (visible) developments. Their credibility (to be candid) is around their ankles at this point. Am I being too blunt?
