"only publicizing a 16% slice of the trial" when they're actually reporting on 100% of the critical patients?

If you flipped a coin every day for a year, you'd have 365 data points. Possibly Mondays turned out to have 30 heads and 22 tails. It was clearly random. It is a one-seventh slice. It means nothing. If CytoDyn predicted that leron would work for critical and not severe, then it would mean something. Instead, they just flung a bunch of spaghetti against the wall and claimed that the small percentage that stuck had undeniable merit.

How many endpoints did the CD12 trial have? The CD10 trial had over 60 secondary endpoints. 60 endpoints should have an average of 3 endpoints with a p value less than .05 through chance. The CD10 trial had 2 secondary endpoints with stat sig. It almost certainly was from chance. Looking at a 16% slice which only had 24% efficacy but then dicing the 28 days in half to 14 days is the very definition of slicing and dicing.
