“do you know the crux of the disagreement between NP and Dr P?”

NP is upset that Incelldx filed a patent for the CCR5/CCL5 treatment pathway for COVID, including longhaulers. CYDY filed a similar patent after Incelldx did, but that patent also includes Dr. Patterson as one of the inventors. The Incelldx patent is likely to get approved as it’s not uncommon for a treatment pathways to be patented before a drug is produced for that pathway.

If/when the Incelldx patent is approved, CYDY will be forced to either agree to a licensing deal with Incelldx or fight Incelldx over the patent. Considering CYDY’s own COVID19 patent application had Dr. Patterson listed as an inventor, it’s seems likely CYDY will have to settle.

This is what caused the rift. I don’t blame Dr. Patterson for filing the patent as he did discover the pathway and I don’t blame NP for being upset, but what I don’t like is how NP has completely ignored Incelldx since the patent was filed. Incelldx is as valuable as a BP R&D team, which is what CYDY needs to avoid further gaffs like the CD12 protocol design disaster.
