This is why I continually say it's pointless to worry too much over the premium or discount. Putting aside the confluence of the huge unlock of shares and end qtr institutional rebalancing, it's that GBTC trades in a market... when bitcoin seems listless or mired, when sentiment tends weak, they'll be more sellers than buyers.

But when the market at large senses bitcoin is about to make a strong upward move, then GBTC attracts more buyers than sellers.. and up goes the price.. and even if bitcoin has fallen a bit during the day, GBTC may go up.
