It has been spoken that Spiber doesn't really produce "spider silk" but a variation of the sort...

So does Kim, if he has to remove an actual sequence found in the original spider's silk he has been utilizing....

Nearly pure spider silk...

Still doesn't speak to whether Kim has solved the "contracting" problem.

I have discussed this before. Silk in general does not do well when introduced with water. It is one of the reasons why silk shirts are dry clean only. The majority of the general population doesn't want to deal with dry cleaning casual wear (yet that is what MtheMovement makes).

I've never claimed to have all the answers but feel i'm beginning to corner the market in questions worthy of them.
