Mortality at 28 days was a horrible endpoint. HGEN's patients are at the beginning stage of severe and most that were going to die weren't going to die within 28 days. Mortality at 60 days would have been a better endpoint and is a secondary endpoint in the current trial. The FDA might have forced the mortality at 28 days endpoint on the trial. It was smart to change it. CytoDyn should have also changed their primary endpoint if they wanted a successful trial. But maybe they weren't allowed to change it.
