To sell shares and make money. Research FITX from the 2014 Pot Rush. They built a huge facility in Canada from the ground up, showed pictures and movie clips of the entire process, held investor meetings and parties at the Canadian location, only to eventually disappear, and laughing all the way to the bank.

I've asked this question a few times now; why build a company and put forth a real effort, when you can just continue to swindle money from naive investors, and MINE is and has been a magnet for naive money.
