As ETFs gain more of a foothold in TPL, they will be buying and selling
without regard to the price of the stock. My theory is that this will
create much greater price volatility in the stock, causing these very
wide swings in price. This may be unrelated to "the value" of TPL, but
simply the result of big institutional money swinging in and out of
a very thinly traded stock with a high market cap. This also means
that intrinsic valuations of TPL may not be very meaningful.

What might change this dynamic?

1. A stock split.
2. Option trading.

When (or if) #1 and #2 are implemented I do not know. Until then, the
wide price swings should continue in TPL.
