eTrade allows me to trade penny stocks, and stops me from trading some really risky ones. That's why I decided to stay with eTrade. My account in Merrill does not allow me to trade low price stocks. On eTrade, every buying of penny stocks costs $4.95, every selling of penny stocks costs about $11. Tradng non-penny stocks is free.
