GM just invented a new battery called Ultium where they removed all the cobalt and replaced it with Aluminum and a significant additional amount of Nickel.

Again, the solid state battery will not compete in range with a Nickel generated battery.

If Quantum was close(which really doesn’t matter) why is Lithium skyrocketing on the futures market? Nickel will soon follow. And Nickel Sulphide or what’s known as class 1 nickel is rare in most parts of the world. Both the Beck-Ottaway project and the Gowan project will have no problem generating supply contracts and a tier one producer will likely pick them up to guarantee a steady supply and price protection from inflationary pressures as the result of a continuing growing demand of EV vehicles drinking class 1 nickel’s supply. Tesla will have no choice but protecting its margins by acquiring Class 1 Nickel supplies as their main goal is to compete in price with gas fueled vehicles.

Watch the Nickel run come. It will be much bigger than the current run in lithium. Watch the acquisitions of Nickel projects by EV related mining companies for a hint of what’s coming. The word on the street is that the acquisitions are already about to begin for class 1 Nickel projects.

The F-68 hole drilled on the Gowan property contained 3.5% Nickel Sulphide. According to a colleague who worked for Moneta Porcupine that was the highest grade class 1 Nickel found from Timmins to Quebec. The assay was done by the Ministry of mines for Ontario and assayed by them as well so there is no way this is a fraudulent number.

Buy Quantum and wait 8 years for them to put a what is now speculative battery into production or buy what’s really being used and working Nickel. I’ll stick to what’s already a proven technology used by the biggest EV players. Enjoy your evening.
