I used to own Subway franchises years ago. I went to put one up in a small touristy town and the residents went nuts. The high school kids even did a vote in school to 'approve' whether or not I could open or not; they voted me down. I opened the store about 4 weeks later, and guess who came looking for jobs? One of the questions I asked was whether or not they voted. A lot of apps hit the trash, lol. But, all that to say, I opened anyway as there was no legal or ethical or moral reasons not to. This is the same bunch of Karens and Karls that just want Elysium.
