I have worked in drug discovery for almost 20 years. If there is one thing I know it's that physicians are awful judges of science. I've never seen a group of 'give me the answer now' more than that. All they know is what they memorize. Tell them something isn't black and white and they lose their minds. Just remember, physicians thought oxycontin was a non addictive opiate because the sacklers said so. They didn't say wait a minute oxy codone (percocet) is addictive how would a timed release change that? No, they simply said, oh okay that must be true. Physicians are deplorable when it comes to science.
