Link has the ability to connect (and even create) oracle connections (at 10 times the speed and about 1/100th the cost) of Ethereum for DeFi contracts and (eventually) all contracts. It can connect older legacy systems to blockchain quickly and cheaply to create these contracts. Every bank, finance institution, law office, real estate mortgages, and on and on, can be bypassed with LINK to blockchain much faster cheaper and more secure than those current entities. Much more uses than a commodity.
