Farrell. Why did they sell to a fund? Recently I spoke with someone at a very large investment firm. They recently started a biotech investment arm. Not to buy stock, but to buy large stakes , if not all of the company. The rationale I was given was pharma has margins/ profits significantly higher than the average s&p company. They want a piece of the action, even if the company is not quite up to normal pharma returns. Below average for pharma is significantly above average vs other parts of the Market. Only tech offers better returns and they have sky high PE
