I do not think they will split the stock anytime soon on the belief that
1.Apple and many other companies have let prices ride high for a long time.
2. The IR team would rather deal with institutional investors who have some knowledge
3. The chance to "turn" on all the ETFs, index funds and energy funds who should own at least a 1% fund position in TPL is huge.
Might require those funds to buy up 30-50% of the outstanding shares. Combined with Murry's 30% could take TPL to $2,000 in next year (before the move up in oil currently)
4. Split stock after the institutional ownership has reached at least 30%.

Just my humble opinion.

PS The annual meeting in November will hopefully be held in a place where we can attend.
