I was doing some research on the relative market size of lower lumbar procedures each year in the US. Looking only at spinal fusions [there are ~ 200k each year) at an avg cost of ~ $100k each. So, a market segment worth roughly $20 billion USD. If BRTX were to become successfully FDA approved, this $20 billion market would take this segment down long term to $ 4 billion USD ($20k *200,000).

This is another example of a noble enterprise in the middle of a Corporate & Association driven market space. The stem cell procedure is estimated to be 80 % cheaper, with an extremely fast recovery rate and improved long term results. It is the best thing for the patients, and reducing health related taxes. AND has many more applications to repair tissue from injury/ other.

So, why wouldn't you do it...!?

Because, long term you would "destroy" $16 billion of market value. All those companies, doctors, nurses, manufacturers depend on this market every year. Don't count on any Medical Device manufacturers, drug companies, or AMA backed enterprises to invest in this technology.

The US govt could literally save trillions each year in medical costs to the economy by "Doing the right thing". vs the usual result: the most beneficial thing for those that hold power.

Bill Gates, where are you!.....?
