Fractional shares are rounded up I believe depending on what fraction. if not you get what a fractional share is worth. So if you had 71428.5742 the company would round your half a share up so you would have 71429 shares. Or they pay what a fractional share is worth. Either case they have to make sure it is all equal to your original investment. Otherwise it's theft and reverse splits would not be a thing lol.

Many think reverse splits are bad and most of the time they would be right. Most stocks rs because they are in a downtrend and trying to stay listed. So it is usually a sell signal because the company is doing bad. So sell offs happen which inevitably drops the share price. The split itself does not lower your share price or raise it. It's the attitude of shareholders and other investors that impact the share price by buying or selling post split.

If ASTI does an rs it is the rare case of up listing. So disregard anyone that says otherwise. ASTI would not RS unless to up list. Simply because with the current OS a RS makes zero sense unless to up list and being ASTI is in an up trend.
