I am long on AMC but saw this theory about the share increase. Thoughts?

The pre 14a filing is hard to follow and I believe has alternative motive. Here me out on my thoughts. AMC doubles the amount of total shares (5500000 shares added) which will drop the price to around 4 dollars and cause a selloff frenzy that would drive the price down even farther. The hedges will be saved but still half to cover their naked shares. Why would they do this? Because now Amazon can come in and acquire AMC for billions of dollars and the amount they would half to pay to shareholders would be minimum because everyone sold. It's a win for Amazon, AMC and institutional investors. The only ones out are the retail investors who sold at a loss. Remember a 14A is also used for voting on acquisitions as well.
