Having the Russian sites could be a smart move by Ehrlich since it means the FDA will not be the final arbiter of Brilacidin's fate. Assuming Brilacidin shows good efficacy, it's a big world out there, and the US is only a small part.

The FDA appears to be biased against therapeutics in favor of the vaccines. I always wondered what they would do if a powerful broad spectrum antibacterial/antiviral ever came along, a drug or class of drugs that could nearly eliminate the scourge of infectious disease from the world. Such a drug could result in a large increase in global population, especially in emerging countries. Biomimetics like Brilacidin have that potential. Not to sound too conspiratorial, but it's no secret that the globalist elites who run the world have a long-standing obsession with overpopulation.

Ehrlich's use of the Russian trial sites has helped to de-risk IPIX against an FDA attempt to stonewall or 'deep six' Brilacidin.
