Thanks for the useful information...been pretty rough sailing. Kind of reminiscent of Black Monday in Oct 1987...in terms of the thoroughness of the scalping...

The most dramatic difference in 1987 was you had to call your broker and then he gave a slip to the guy in his office who then called the exchange....The massive sell-off created a three to four hour delays in executing the trade and the market was falling to new lows every minute.

There were some huge losers. I believe it was Texas Instruments (one of the leaders) dropped somewhere around $100 from $115 down to $15..I was a cosmetic surgeon in Boston and I did procedure on the wife of one of the richest men in Boston. He came in the morning and waited in the office until about 3 PM. For his wife to recover..

I talked to him the next day. He was down $30 Mil in 1987 money...And he did not bat an eyelash. One of the most remarkable things I've seen in my entire life.

In a month's time he got back to even...
