If I say "someone in my state will win the lottery tonight," and I keep repeating it often enough, I will eventually be correct. There is no way I could have "known" that it would happen, but IF it does happen, to the uninformed, I may look like I really know what I am talking about, which might induce some to want to "follow my advice" in all things related to betting on lottery wins by state.

I wonder if a person who gets lucky with a call on a stock might be confident enough in the repeatability of his/her calls to lead a large group of investors with real money? I'm leaning toward "not," but it would be interesting to see if some such person exists who exudes such aforementioned confidence could be found . . .
