Asked Gira. Solar roof tiles have been tried in the EU. It is a market of very small volume. The many connections and small sized expensive panels make the system economically totally unviable. People buying this do not invest because of the solar energy output vs money invested.
"Increasingly buying" this type of module - as mentioned in the article - is increasing from 0.nothing to 0.nothing + a tiny little bit. It is a tiny niche in the market.
GRSR and partners integrate solar into roofs also but differently.
