Problem with your strategy is that your swing trade gains, assuming they are real, get taxed as regular income at the highesy rates (unless you are umemployed, which is likely the more I think about it) Meanwhile you sit on this "paper loss" that you could have harvested for a tax writeoff. Not good tax planning unless you are just an unemployeed leech.
