The final Senate House Report does NOT blame F and F

(a first round R only minority report did blame F and F - and then all but the author (I forget the name but he hated F and F) - peeled off so the final report was I think 8 of 9 members saying it was say 90% the fault of greed and TBTF bank shenanigans

That does not mean F and F were in great shape

That is an entirely different discussion

Was F and F in need - or did it have the appearance to the public that it was in need --- some here say no - and some like me recall that GAAP accounting showed a PAPER loss

leave it at that

but the whole mess ? History has spoken and its not F and F
