UAMA et al is not a miner. Turns out they just lease the facilities to others.
Upside? As a landlord who is under a Quebec Court order to shut-down its Blockdomes and restore the land to purely agricultural use.
Just like failed TNW Wireless, TNW Networks, Inelco, Teliphone, Navigata-Westel, etc. etc. UAMA is well on the way to being the latest failure.
Add up the facts. The $47M bankruptcy of UAMA, Investel, et al operations have totally gutted this enterprise. Bankruptcy still in front of the Supreme Court of BC and likely fallout will emerge from that. Benoit Laliberte, UAMA President, CEO, and CFO is a convicted criminal according to the Canadian Press, has been an undischarged bankrupt for over 10 years and he threatened an Officer of the Court in writing. So possible fallout for Mr. Laliberte for that action and then there's the not so small issue of failure to remit employee withholdings to the CRA. According to the Court records CRA claims are nearly $2 million.
