I think this train has left the station...stocks are trading on memes now, on Tweets, on social media. I mean CNBC is debating what the ice cream cone with a frog tweeted by GME CEO might mean and why it caused the stock to run based on that.

For now at least, social media being able to run stocks on a global basis is a very real thing and a market indicator from everything we've seen.
