I agree this is huge! You do not have to worry about any of those shenanigans lol! The canadian govt started out in 2017 they had fingerprint security at canopy growth up the road from me. Now they are licensing outdoor grows by the acre. It is becoming so common, like corn. Somebody may drive by and grab a branch but the acres will be fine. The products made from the plant will likely be treated like liquor.
