So essentially the test flights did not fail but the equipment failed... That is what I am reading.. but they started to look for another manufacturer... But no news or progress reports.

There are many reasons you can get a rejection.. One of mine I wrote myself had a syntax error. The examiners are sharp... I responded and fixed the issue... I had referred to a component as "the xxx" but since I had already described the component it should have read The "said xxx". They are tricky.. But my patent was issued eventually.
